About Anastasia
My name is Anastasia, and I am a qualified and experienced English teacher with over 12 years of tutoring experience. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Management, and Emerging Technologies, and I have worked with students from a wide range of ages, levels, and educational backgrounds.
I have taught in international and private education settings and have extensive experience supporting learners within IB, Common Core, IPC, and ESL frameworks, as well as through personalized one-to-one tutoring. I am organized, reliable, and committed to maintaining a high standard of professionalism in all my lessons. I plan carefully, set clear goals, and track progress to ensure that each student develops both academically and confidently.
I place great importance on creating a respectful, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace. My name is Anastasia, and my tutoring approach is student-centred, structured, and highly personalised. I believe that effective learning begins with understanding each student’s individual needs, strengths, learning style, and goals. For this reason, I always take time to assess the student’s level and objectives before planning lessons.
I design my classes with clear learning aims, using a combination of explanation, guided practice, discussion, and targeted feedback. My teaching methodology focuses on building strong foundations in language skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening), while also developing confidence, critical thinking, and independent learning skills. I adapt my techniques depending on the learner’s age and level, using more structured scaffolding for younger learners and a more analytical, discussion-based approach for older students and adults.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although this can be adapted depending on the student’s age, focus, and concentration level. Lessons are carefully planned but flexible, allowing space to revisit challenging areas or extend learning where appropriate. I also provide clear feedback and practical strategies to help students continue improving outside the lesson.
