About Peter
I have been teaching and tutoring students at various levels of English for 30 years, probably 100s.
My students achieve their target grades, my last GCSE exam class gained 100% 4+ grades. My A Level students have consistently gained grades that have helped them achieve university and higher education entrance.

I base my teaching on the needs of the student. I work with the student to identify their strengths and areas to improve. I will usually begin a lesson with a short warm-up, a game, quiz or revision activity.
Then, I like to build up an understanding of the lesson topic with short high-paced tasks that will build confidence and provide a challenge. There will be a mix of reading, writing, and discussion to maintain variety in the lesson.
I plan lessons around a clearly defined objective, this will help you if you are preparing for a public exam.
Sometimes, learning objectives/outcomes can appear a bit complicated, but I'll simplify and explain them to you.
I'll always leave time for a review of what we have done and, of course, opportunities for you to ask questions if you don't understand.
I strive to make my lessons interesting and relevant to the needs of my students, I think that is a good recipe for success!
