About Aruzhan
I am an English teacher from Kazakhstan with 4 years of experience teaching English in Kazakhstan and London. 2 years ago I obtained my Master’s degree in TESOL at King’s College London. So, I know modern teaching approaches and methodology that I tend to mix while making my lessons. I personally like to put my students in a small ‘chaos’ where they have to think quickly and figure out how to solve tasks themselves. That way you learn to get used to feeling confused and not understanding everything, which will help you to become resilient, optimistic and mentally strong. Learning a new language is never an easy path. I myself still face situations where I feel dumb or overwhelmed because I don’t understand what they are telling me or when I cannot genuinely express myself. So, the faster you learn how to cope with this feeling, the better results you will get.

I am very result-oriented. So, my lessons can be pretty intensive and sometimes overwhelming. Depending on your goals, I will design our lessons to help you achieve your aims and become more confident about your English skills. Instead of giving you direct answers and spoon-feed you, I prefer to guide students while they are discovering answers themselves because this way you will not forget everything you learnt the next day and get used to being an independent learner. I am convinced that instead of learning General English, it is better to learn English in a specific context, so, every lesson of mine is based on specific real-life events that you can relate to. Grammar and Vocabulary will be analysed through specific contexts, so, you can understand in what situations it is appropriate to use them.
