About Priscilla
Hi, I’m Priscilla. I have 300+ hours of experience teaching year 3, year 4, year 5, year 6 and year 7 students for english and I’m currently year 12 studying at Mansfield State High School.
I am located within walking distance from Calamvale Community College.
I am currently a Cadet Journalist for a reputable news company. Recently I have received the Academic Excellence Award (all As on report card), and I am the winner for the 2021 MSHS Year 11 Short Story Competition. I have also completed a university level unit in 2022 from QUT prior to graduating high school and also hold a TAFE certification on top of the highly strenuous subjects I partake in high school.
I believe this shows my ability to effectively time-manage and prioritise my studies and I hope that I can share some of this guidance in my lessons.
I was able to achieve top bands for all NAPLAN assessments (yr 3, 5 and 7). As of 2021, I have maintained at least 24/25 for english assessment completed and multiple pieces of my writing have been used as exemplars for other students.
I have depth of knowledge of the Australian English Curriculum, specifically C2C, and look forward to communicating with you and your child to assist them to achieve their full capabilities.

Hello there! I’m Priscilla and I have 300+ hours of experience tutoring english writing targeted at all primary/junior secondary students.
In the past, I have taught many students in years 3,4,5,6 and 7 and I am experienced in the content and knowledge needed for each year level.
I create personalised lessons for your child to reach their full potential in english, in accordance to the in-depth knowledge I have in C2C curriculum, the Australian national curriculum.
I work closely and regularly with primary school teachers and EALD high school teachers in order to make sure my resources are the best possible quality and that my knowledge is up to date. I also regularly self-reflect on my teaching style to make my classes engaging and effective for your child

I only tutor from my house which is walking distance from Calamvale Community College.
A 30min trial lesson is held to find out your/your child’s long term goals and to see your/your child’s standard and areas for improvement.
I am experienced with learning difficulty students and EALD students and be rest assured that your child’s improvement is my utmost priority.
