About Shirah

Hi! My name is Shirah, and I’m a Finance student at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. With years of experience as a peer tutor, I’ve developed a passion for helping students build confidence and truly understand challenging concepts.

I know how frustrating it can be when something just doesn’t click, which is why I believe every student deserves a personalized approach to learning. Whether you need help mastering a difficult topic, preparing for an exam, or simply building your confidence, I’m here to meet you where you are and help you reach your full potential. Let’s work together to make learning feel easier and more rewarding!

About the lesson

I implement a student-centered approach, breaking down complex topics into manageable steps. My goal is to build a strong foundation of deep understanding so students can take on any problem.

Lessons will typically begin with a review of previous concepts, followed by the introduction of new material with clear explanations and examples. We will then work through practice problems together, and I will provide extra materials to reinforce learning.

I specialize in making math accessible and engaging. I adapt my teaching style to each student's needs, ensuring they not only grasp the material but also gain confidence.

My lessons are ideal for students in elementary school to high school, including those preparing for standardized tests or needing support in introductory college-level math courses.
