About Emily
I am a qualified teacher with nine years experience in the classroom and as a home tutor. I have taught students in the UK and Vietnam, ranging in age from six to eighty. I have also been a GCSE English examiner for AQA for three years.
In my free time, I love to run, swim, cycle, bake, travel, read, write and curl up with my cat and a cryptic crossword.

I'm a bubbly and enthusiastic person, and I often find that my passion for literature is infectious in a tutoring setting. I believe that lots of discussion is key to progress in the study of English, combined with writing frames, model examples and writing practice to ensure and consolidate understanding. I also like to help students to develop their own revision style, with the aim of empowering them to improve not only their English skills but their capacity to teach themselves.
