About Adrian
I have taught in secondary schools for the past 18 years and been Curriculum Leader for the last 12 years in 2 different schools. I am also an experienced examiner and NEA moderator for a UK exam board. I love helping my students achieve their full potential and my passion is Design and Technology. I have 3 children of my own and I believe that education has the power to change people's lives.

My engaging lessons are crammed with quizzes and tips to help students achieve their potential. I use a variety of techniques that will embed essential knowledge into your long term memory. I have tutored students remotely for the AQA, Eduqas, Edexcel & iGCSE exam boards. I am based in the northwest of England and I have tutored students from London to Hong Kong. My last 3 students achieved 2 GCSE grade 9s and a grade 8 in the Summer of 2025.
I cover a range of content, including the work of other designers, properties of traditional and modern materials, as well as different drawing methods. My past students have progressed onto further study routes in architecture, graphic and product design, as well as engineering.
I am fully enhanced DBS checked and I deliver both online and face-to-face sessions. Thank you for taking the time to read this - all enquiries are welcome!

Perfect! Adrian has been an excellent tutor for my son’s GCSE DT preparation. He explains concepts clearly and provides well-structured lessons tailored to my son’s needs. His patient and proactive approach, along with helpful materials, has made the sessions both productive and engaging.

Perfect! Adrian has been helping Louis to prepare for his Design & Technology GCSE exam. D&T is Louis' favourite subject, and he will also be taking it at A-level. As a current teacher, Adrian understands the syllabus very well, and was able to help Louis focus on the most important aspects of the subject, as well as clarifying some topics that Louis had been having difficulty with at school.
