About Sara
I am a Chemistry student at UCL with many years of tutoring experience! I achieved 7x grade 9s at GCSE and 3x A* at A-level.
I began tutoring because I enjoy helping students turn hard topics/subjects into something they can understand. It's so rewarding to see students become more confident in their abilities and get the results that they've worked so hard for.
I am friendly, patient and encouraging, and I want students to feel comfortable asking any questions and feeling comfortable to admit when they're struggling to understand something. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel productive and are able to gain confidence.

I tailor every lesson to the individual student, focusing on topics they find most challenging and I adapt my explanations to suit their learning style. I aim to make difficult explanations feel simple and build understanding and confidence.
Lessons are typically 1 hour and combine clear explanations and exam-style questions. I help students improve their exam technique, identify common mistakes and learn how to approach questions that sound unfamiliar or unclear.
I have several years of tutoring experience and have taught hundreds of Mathematics and Science lessons. I achieved A*A*A* at A-level in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry and 9s in Science, Mathematics and Further Mathematics GCSE. I am currently studying Chemistry at UCL, where I achieved a First in my first year.
I teach KS3, GCSE and A-level students, and lessons can be adapted for anything from catching up on hard topics to aiming for high grades.
