About Emily
I am a reliable, committed and experienced Teacher of History & Politics. I am trained Secondary School teacher, currently teaching History from year 7 to A-Level. I completed my teacher training at Oxford University and at present, I am Head of History and Politics at a high achieving school in the Richmond area. I am a native English speaker who grew up in Edinburgh and am able to tutor students in both History, Politics and Classical Civilisations at KS3, IGCSE/GCSE and A-level, through to undergraduate level. I am extremely passionate about teaching and I work hard to create lessons which are engaging and stretch my students. I am competent and hardworking and would enjoy the opportunity to help you develop you in your learning process.

As a teacher, my main goal is to motivate students to do their best and expand their own personal limits. I devise programmes of study, according to syllabus requirements, that develop previous knowledge and encourage students to explore new and interesting possibilities. All lessons are tailored to the needs of students and are focused on the relevant exam board at GCSE and A-level.
