About Elli
Masters of Teaching (secondary) from the University of Sydney.
Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in History and Studies in Religion from the University of Sydney.
I have 12 years of teaching experience in Australian and international primary and secondary schools.
I began my teaching journey in a remote school in Northern Pakistan, where I taught for two years.
I have also taught in two remote Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory.
For most of my career I have been a secondary school English, History and Philosophy teacher in NSW high schools, where I love engaging with the minds of students to help them uncover their own abilities to think independently, creatively and critically. I enjoy getting to know students and helping them to uncover their strengths, as well as provide a friendly and supportive environment in which they can develop their skills.
Personally, when I am not teaching I am a traveler and a writer, and love to learn about the world!

I love to work with students to find ways to engage them in their learning, finding the joy of language and working to develop their ability to think and write critically and creatively.
I offer online one-on-one sessions of an hour. I work with students to identify areas in which they would like to develop and create an individual learning plan. I can also provide homework support such as providing feedback on essays or creative writing tasks.
Lessons are student-centred, with a focus on practical application of skills. I provide meaningful feedback and support in an ongoing manner to ensure students progress.
I work with students in upper-primary through to year 11 and 12.
