About Sofia
My name is Sofia and I am from Cambridge, England. I have many years of experience teaching in language schools as well as privately and online. I focus on IELTS preparation as well as general English at all levels.
I am passionate about helping learners to unlock the opportunities that will help them in their lives by improving their English skills. I am a hardworking tutor and I really push myself to make interesting and useful lessons. I also encourage my students to take on the various tips and techniques I have honed over the years as both an English teacher and a language learner.
Professional development is very important to me and that is why I frequently take courses and certificates in language and language teaching areas I am interested in, to further my knowledge and skills as a teacher.
I am very encouraging and patient and create a learning atmosphere where it is safe to make errors and try out new language. I love helping students to feel more confident while gaining lasting knowledge and skills. I am passionate about improving fluency and the ability to use and understand natural English spontaneously or otherwise.
