About Dylan

I have a BSc in Computer Science from UBC and spent seven years working as a software developer. I've also spent around eight years tutoring students in math and programming.

I enjoy finding ways to make difficult concepts easier to understand. Everyone learns a little differently, so I'm happy to approach a problem from different angles, try a new explanation, or slow things down until the pieces start to click. My goal is to make learning feel approachable, helping students work through challenges without feeling overwhelmed or judged.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each student, with an emphasis on identifying gaps in understanding, building strong foundations, and helping students develop confidence in their own abilities. I aim to create a relaxed, non-judgmental environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges at their own pace.

Subjects:
- Math: Primary school through Pre-Calculus 11/12
- University math: Introductory courses
- Science: Through Chemistry 11 and Physics 11
- Programming and technology

I offer online lessons to students anywhere, as well as in-person tutoring on Vancouver's North Shore.
