About Lauren
I am a Mathematics tutor with over 5 years of experience and a BA in Mathematics. My passion lies in topology and knot theory, where I explore the beauty of shapes, spaces, and continuous deformations. I love helping students visualise these concepts using diagrams, models, and real-world examples, such as molecular structures and artistic designs.
I work with students who are curious about abstract mathematics, as well as those interested in physics or the artistic side of patterns and forms. Lessons are tailored to each learner, combining rigorous proofs with intuitive understanding. I encourage asking questions, exploring ideas, and making connections beyond formulas.
Through interactive sessions, I help students develop strong problem-solving skills and a deeper appreciation for mathematical structures. I make challenging topics approachable without losing their depth. Learning topology can be like uncovering hidden patterns in the world around us.
My goal is to guide students to a place where intuition meets rigorous proof. Together, we explore a branch of mathematics that is both visually striking and intellectually rewarding. Every session is an invitation to see the world through the lens of shapes, space, and endless possibilities.
