About Chuo
Hi, I’m a qualified and passionate maths tutor with a strong academic background and five years of teaching experience. I graduated from King’s College London with a degree in Mathematics and furthered my studies with a Master’s degree in Financial Mathematics. Additionally, I hold a Master’s degree in Teaching Secondary Education, equipping me with the skills to effectively engage students and adapt to various learning styles.
Over the years, I’ve taught students from Grade 7 to Grade 12, with a special focus on students studying Year 10 and 11 Maths Methods. My approach is centered on making complex concepts more understandable by breaking them down into simple, digestible steps. I believe in building confidence in my students, and my goal is to help them not only improve their grades but also foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of mathematics.

As a maths tutor with over five years of teaching experience, I focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident and capable in tackling mathematical concepts. My approach is student-centered, and I tailor lessons to meet the individual needs of each student.
I typically offer lessons of 60 minutes for one-on-one tutoring. This duration allows for in-depth exploration of concepts while keeping students engaged without overwhelming them. However, I am flexible and can adapt to longer or shorter sessions based on individual needs, particularly if students are preparing for an exam or need to review multiple topics in one go.
My tutoring is suitable for students in Grades 7 to 12 (ages 12-18). I specialize in Maths for Years 10 and 11, but I also offer support for other areas of secondary education maths, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
