About Nina

My name is Nina, and I am an A Level student at Tiffin School, having graduated Y11 with 11 9s. I am passionate about supporting young learners in building strong academic foundations. I work primarily with students aged 8 to 15, helping them gain confidence in their abilities and develop a genuine understanding of the subjects they study. I have a strong background in education coming from my experience in both private and group tutoring for over 3 years and seeing the positive impact that one-on-one support could have on a student’s progress and enthusiasm for learning has inspired me to continue this work.

About the lesson

Every student learns maths differently—and that’s exactly why my approach is built around individualised support. As a private maths tutor, I start with a thorough assessment to identify your child’s current level, pinpoint gaps in understanding, and uncover their unique learning style. Using this information, I design custom lesson plans that target specific areas of need—whether it's building confidence with foundational skills, tackling tricky problem-solving techniques, or preparing for exams. Each session includes tailored explanations, practice problems, and worksheets carefully created to reinforce the exact concepts your child needs to master. With dedicated one-on-one attention, students gain not only improved maths skills but also greater confidence, independence, and a more positive attitude towards learning.

Perfect! I could not be happier with the progress our two daughters (aged 11 and 15) have made under her tuition. She is an excellent teacher who explains mathematical concepts clearly, patiently, and in a way that is easy to understand.

In just a few months, both girls gained confidence in maths and showed significant improvement in their understanding and performance. She has a wonderful ability to adapt her teaching style to suit different ages and learning needs, keeping lessons engaging and productive.

I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and effective maths tutor. Thank you for all your hard work and support!

Diligent to her various commitments, Nina strives to excel in everything she does, including helping others in their education. She has achieved the highest possible grade in every centralised exam she has sat so far, and I believe that she is capable of assisting others to do the same.
