About Kyra
I am a Mathematics tutor with over 3 years of teaching experience and hold an MPhil in Mathematics. Over the years, I have worked with students of all ages and levels, from school learners to university students. My approach is holistic, with a strong focus on reducing math anxiety and building lasting confidence. I believe that every student has the ability to succeed in mathematics when given the right guidance. That’s why I use growth mindset techniques to help learners shift from “I can’t do this” to “I can improve with practice.” By breaking down concepts into simple steps, I make challenging topics easier to understand. Personalized pacing is at the core of my sessions. Some learners need extra time to process ideas, while others thrive on accelerated challenges, and I adjust accordingly. I also rely on positive reinforcement to celebrate progress, no matter how small, so students feel motivated to keep learning. I have worked with many students who once felt overwhelmed or discouraged by math. Watching them grow in confidence and even start enjoying the subject has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.
