About Katarina
With a double degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from MIT and experience as a Teaching Fellow in Statistics and Machine Learning, I bring a strong analytical foundation to physics education. Over the past three years, I’ve specialized in tutoring high school students, particularly in AP Physics, helping them navigate challenging coursework and achieve academic success. I'm passionate about creating those "aha!" moments—when a complex idea suddenly clicks—and I prioritize building a supportive, judgment-free learning environment. My goal is to boost students' confidence and problem-solving skills by breaking down difficult concepts and showing their real-world relevance. With my interdisciplinary background and teaching experience, I'm uniquely equipped to guide students from confusion to clarity in physics.

As a physics tutor, my mission is to spark curiosity and create meaningful "lightbulb moments" by breaking down complex concepts into clear, relatable ideas. I strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning space where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. Understanding that every student learns differently, I adapt my teaching methods to match their individual needs—whether through visual aids, hands-on examples, or real-life applications of physics principles. I emphasize interactive learning, guiding students to think critically and solve problems with confidence. Ultimately, I aim to not only help students succeed academically but also to ignite a lasting interest in the fascinating world of physics.
