About Denise
I have been an RN for 17 years working mainly in the areas of maternity and NICU. I completed my BScN (2006) & my MScN (2010; with focus in education). I hold Advanced Specialty certificates in both Perinatal nursing and Neonatal nursing. That's a lot of school - trust me that I understand the challenges and the joys of the learning journey.
I have taught in the BScN program as a clinical instructor and a classroom instructor. My role in the hospital includes mentoring new grad RNs and new-to-us experienced staff who have switched to maternity nursing. I also enjoy the writing process. My love of teaching has always been part of who I am - helping my classmates study for tests during nursing school is something we still laugh about to this day.
