As a tutor, I believe that learning should be engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I use a student-centered approach that focuses on building strong foundational skills in reading and grammar while boosting confidence and critical thinking.
My teaching method combines clear explanations, interactive exercises, and real-world examples to make lessons practical and relatable. I often use visual aids, writing prompts, reading passages, and games to keep students engaged and reinforce learning in fun and meaningful ways.
A typical lesson plan starts with a short review of the previous session, followed by a focused mini-lesson on a specific concept (such as subject-verb agreement, punctuation, or reading comprehension strategies). Then, we work through guided practice activities together, and I end with independent practice and a quick recap to assess understanding. I always encourage questions and make space for students to share their thoughts.
