About Mia
With over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Music Technology (Keyboard Production), I teach piano and composition with a focus on cinematic music. I am passionate about composing for film, television, and video games, and I enjoy helping students express themselves creatively through music. My lessons are fun, interactive, and personalized for learners at all levels—school, college, adult, and professional. I emphasize melodic writing, orchestration, synthesizer sound design, and proficiency in digital audio workstations (DAWs). I have helped students ranging from Intermediate to Advanced and Professional/Expert levels develop the technical skills and artistic insight needed for cinematic composition. Lessons blend technical exercises with creative, project-based learning. Students explore motifs, textures, and storytelling through music. I provide guidance, constructive feedback, and encouragement throughout the process. Each lesson builds confidence, skill, and musical imagination. Students learn to translate ideas into fully realized compositions with emotional impact. I aim to foster both technical mastery and expressive artistry. I focus on helping students develop their own musical voice through piano. Lessons cover songwriting, composing melodies and harmonies, and crafting intros and outros. I guide students in developing musical themes and structuring their compositions. My methodology combines creativity with clear, structured guidance. I work closely with The Therapy Seeker and The Jazz Pianist to translate ideas into music. Students learn to experiment with motifs, chord progressions, and textures. Each session encourages exploration while reinforcing compositional techniques. I provide feedback on phrasing, harmony, and rhythmic structure. Lessons help students understand how to develop a full musical piece. We analyze and create original works to strengthen musical intuition. I emphasize expressing emotions and ideas clearly through music. Each session is practical, inspiring, and tailored to the student’s goals. Together, we craft your own musical legacy and creativity.
