About Sylvana
In September I will be studying at Imperial College London for a Masters degree in Translational Neuroscience. I have a Bachelors degree in Neuroscience with Psychology. I was also a part-time Chemistry teacher at Croydon Metropolitan College last year. With my in-depth knowledge of neuroscience I believe I'll be able to teach psychology in a way that's easy to understand.

I personally prefer to work on the topics my pupil finds the hardest, once those topics are explained in detail and fully understood, I would then move onto the other easier topics on the syllabus. I find this method effective because it eliminates the fear from the subject from the onset, there's nothing worse than running away from the topics that you feel are your weakest.
I like to think of myself as a patient and friendly tutor. More than anything I want to see an improvement in your confidence with the subject and teach the course in a way that you actually find interesting. Plus having gone through multiple examinations, I have gathered a lot of exam tips and tricks. I know exactly what the exam boards want to see from their students, especially in psychology (they want students to be able to recall psychological studies accurately and analyse them with counter studies)
