About Petr
I am a science educator, researcher, and practitioner. My experience counts almost two decades of active tutoring besides my regular duties: teaching in secondary schools and research in STEM. I have designed and taught courses, including middle school and high school core courses and a variety of academic elective classes, and I have experience teaching students from many different cultural backgrounds, who possess a wide range of learning abilities. I have always been passionate about natural science and science education, and I bring that energy into my classroom, encouraging my students to develop their ideas and to express their individual knowledge about scientific phenomena. I'm teaching Biology, Physics, Environmental Science, and Forensics at Lab School of Washington, and I am very excited and thrilled about the prospect of working with you!

Over a decade have designed rigorous and extensive curricula for a number of science classes to engage and inspire the diverse groups of students which draws on students’ own
experiences and interests. I am passionate about helping students to develop individual learning goals and approaches and find the most effective approach in learning. For example, I present a more vivid array of atomic structure or matter and change concept and try expand their background knowledge of physical and chemical changes by doing research on elements which can be related to their lives and aspirations. For biology, students contribute their own understanding of how their body systems interact with the environment they live in. For example, in one of the class activities we tested all five organs of sense and how we respond to varied stimuli. Additionally, we have had multiple discussions about every organ system of the human body and the ways it connects to the other system organs and the inner environment.
