I am a dedicated singing tutor with over 9 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Studies. My teaching draws on rich cultural music traditions, including Flamenco, Hindustani Classical, Celtic Folk, and African Spirituals. These genres have shaped my understanding of vocal ornamentation, microtonal expression, and traditional scales, which I integrate into every lesson.
I specialise in oral transmission techniques, helping students learn music as it has been passed down through generations. Lessons focus on connecting sound to heritage, language, and cultural context. I guide students to feel the stories behind the music, not just perform the notes.
Through exploring ornamentation, phrasing, and expressive techniques, students develop both technical skill and emotional depth. I encourage curiosity and creativity while fostering discipline and respect for each tradition.
