About Lara
Hi! I’m a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a voice emphasis. I provide personalised lessons for students of all levels—school, college, and adult/professional learners. My lessons cover a wide range of styles, including classical, pop, movie, and folk singing. I focus on building strong foundations in ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory, alongside developing vocal confidence. Every lesson is tailored to nurture each student’s unique voice while ensuring safe and healthy vocal techniques. I believe that every singer can grow with consistent practice, guidance, and encouragement. My teaching style is interactive, engaging, and supportive, creating a positive learning environment. I emphasise both technical skills and expressive performance, helping students connect with music emotionally. Students learn to interpret songs creatively while maintaining vocal control and accuracy. Whether you are just starting out or preparing for performances, I guide you to reach your full potential. My singing lessons are designed to help students prepare for auditions and build a strong vocal portfolio. I focus on strategic song selection to highlight each student’s strengths and fit the audition requirements. Vocal tone matching and controlled dynamics are key areas we work on for expressive and confident performances. Both music majors and Suzuki students benefit from vocal agility exercises that improve flexibility and control. We practise mock auditions to simulate real performance conditions and build confidence. I encourage exploring diverse genres, which strengthens adaptability and broadens musicality. Technology is integrated into lessons through backing track apps, lyric trainers, and pitch analysers to enhance practice and accuracy. Lessons are personalised, balancing technical skill development with artistic expression. Students learn to interpret music while maintaining precision and vocal health. Through consistent practice and focused guidance, each student grows in confidence and versatility. My goal is to equip singers with the tools to excel in auditions and develop a strong, versatile voice.
