About Sourish

With over 80 hours of tutoring experience (with students as young as 8), including maths, I'm here to help you. I've been doing UKMT challenges since year 4, and recently topped my year with 115/125 in the Senior Maths Challenge, and 129/135 in the IMC 2022.

I am a strong mathematician, and have been accepted into a competitive (0.1% acceptance) Maths/Physics Summer school at Cambridge University.

I love these competitions - they are interesting puzzles with clever solutions that are always extremely satisfying to find.

Academically, I achieved 11 Grade 9s in my GCSEs, and am currently doing Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Chemistry for A-Level, with an A* predicted for all of them. You can be sure that I have a strong understanding of any concepts you are unsure about.

I'd love to work with you, developing your passion for problem solving and improving your logical thinking to help you achieve your goals!

About the lesson

I can work through Junior/Intermediate Maths Challenge papers, all questions from the entire archive. If you have a different goal, I can work through various topics and explain solutions in a very accessible way and develop further activities to reinforce the concepts, using MY experience to streamline YOUR learning.

I will write and draw digitally to illustrate different methods, providing you with all the notes after every lesson.

The logical and problem solving part of maths are not skills you can gain just inside a classroom - it's the continuous effort and exposure to problems and clever solutions which forges the perfect mindset within the student, the mindset which I hope to share with you!

After just a few lessons, you'll see improvements in your critical thinking as I teach you how to approach problems from different angles, and not just reach the solution.
