About Taylor

Hi, I’m Taylor! I’m a certified Special Education and Elementary Education teacher with experience helping students succeed in reading, writing, math, and beyond. I’m passionate about creating personalized, engaging lessons that meet each student where they are and build both skills and confidence.
I specialize in working with students who benefit from extra support, including those with IEPs, learning differences, or anyone who wants to strengthen their understanding in multiple subject areas. My approach is hands-on, flexible, and student-centered, using strategies like visual aids, interactive activities, and step-by-step modeling to make learning accessible and enjoyable.
What sets me apart is my ability to adapt lessons to each student’s unique learning style, helping them not just complete assignments, but truly understand and retain the material. Whether your child needs support in core subjects, study skills, or executive functioning strategies, I’m here to provide guidance, encouragement, and practical tools for success.
I love helping students gain confidence, achieve their goals, and develop a love of learning — every lesson is an opportunity to grow!

As a Special Education and Elementary Education teacher, I take a student-centered and flexible approach to tutoring, adapting my techniques to each learner’s strengths, needs, and learning style. I focus on building confidence and understanding rather than memorization, using strategies like visual aids, hands-on activities, graphic organizers, and step-by-step modeling to make concepts clear and engaging.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing prior knowledge and identifying areas of difficulty. From there, we set clear objectives for the session, work through examples together, and practice independently while I provide guidance and feedback. Lessons often end with a brief review and a simple goal for the student to continue practicing until the next session.
What sets me apart is my ability to personalize lessons across multiple subject areas — from reading, writing, and math to study skills and executive functioning strategies — while keeping sessions interactive, supportive, and encouraging. I integrate techniques I’ve developed over years of teaching in both general and special education classrooms, ensuring that students not only learn but retain and apply skills confidently.
My lessons are designed for elementary students and those who benefit from specialized support, including students with learning differences, IEPs, or those who simply need a stronger foundation in core subjects. I welcome learners who need assistance across multiple subject areas, helping them build the skills and confidence to succeed academically.
