About Jamie
Hi! My name is Jamie and I'm a classically trained and certified teacher from Yellowknife, Canada. I've been teaching for more than 10 years at various levels and most recently I opened a non-profit training academy to teach at-risk individuals in the north.
The students and clients I work with come from many different backgrounds and ability levels so I can be patient, friendly, and helpful no matter where you are!
I specialize in English Language Arts and Humanities, but I can also be of service in business planning, Microsoft Office, life skills, and religious studies.
If you live in Yellowknife, I can meet you face to face and, if not, I'm extremely well versed in webcam tutoring having run online classes for groups of 20+ students for the last 2 years.

With over a decade of experience teaching students from age 8 to 62 from all different ability levels and backgrounds, I am equipped to tailor lessons and meet you where you are.
As a certified teacher and social entrepreneur you can expect a personalized and effective lesson plan to suit your needs. Lessons will consist of 20-30 minutes teaching time, 20 minutes of guided practice, and 10-20 minutes of Q&A to explore subjects.
