About Carol
I am a certified and experienced teacher of 40 + years. I have my BFA from University of Virginia & my MFA from The Savannah College of Art & Design in Georgia. I received a Fellowship in Writing for my Masters degree. I have a simple, proven method to increase comprehension and vocabulary for the SAT and others various standardized tests. I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals.
I love seeing stduents achieve their goals! It is truly fulfilling to know that I have helped so many students get accepted to the college of their dreams and pursue a successful future for themselves.
I started teaching when I was in college. I enjoy getting to know my students and seeing the improvement in their test results and reaching their goals.

During our first session I will ask you a few questions to determine what you're currently succeding at and what youre struggling with. We will identify your goals and then make a plan on how to achieve them. I'll make sure to help you achieve your goals! Using the SAT vocabulary we analyze words to increase your comprehension.
All grades but I've enjoyed teaching high school and college levels most.
Find a system that works and make time each day to practice what you're working on. You will quickly start to see progress.
I tutored a student that spoke English as a second language. Although he was fluent in English he was reticent in testing. In a a very short time he acquired vocabulary confidence and increased his SAT score by 100 points.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should have clear goals of what they are trying to achieve so that they can communicate this to their teachers. They should also put some thought into what learning style they are best suited for. You should also let your teachers know what your college goals are so you can make a plan togetehr regarding how to achieve them.
