Daniel DeWeldon's performance in my first feature is brilliant, dangerous, hilarious, and so unpredictable that when he is on screen, you don't dare leave the room for fear of missing out on something truly touching or misanthropically devious. As a selfish director, I'm reluctant to share this review. When you find a brilliant talent like Daniel DeWeldon you want him all to your self. From the moment I first met Daniel for his audition all the way through the shoot he was prepared, professional, and fully committed to bringing his character to life. As a director, I look for talent, sincerity, layered performance, and depth. While it's rare to find this in actors it's even rarer to find someone like Daniel who has these qualities, as well as being professional, disciplined, and eager to collaborate. We explored several different approaches to his performance, and he managed to offer shades and dimensions that I hadn't thought of. He brings a great, connective energy to the set. I've seen a lot of actors who are only concerned with their own performance, sometimes even taking away from others. Daniel has the maturity and generosity as an actor to elevate the actors he works with and gives so much to the relationships on screen. As a result, the entire cast benefits from his work. He is a singular talent and I look forward to many more projects with him.

(Adam has worked as a screenwriter, director, and story artist for both major and independent production studios in film, television, and games, including Tandem Motion Pictures, Dreamworks, Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon, Sony Superbot, Cartoon Network, Paramount, Marvel, Green Gas Mask Productions, Lost Tribe Entertainment, among others. A CalArts graduate, Adam has lived abroad, studying writing and visual art in Florence, Italy, Paris, France, and Guanajuato, Mexico. He also taught story structure, dramatic theory, as well as painting and story art at California Institute of the Arts.)

I have directed Daniel DeWeldon in multiple critically acclaimed productions since 1999, both in theater and film. He is best described as brilliantly unpredictable in every role I have directed him in. His understanding of character is exceptional as he embodies how to not play the end in the beginning within the story. Daniel unfolds character in ways that every director could hope for from their actors. He has a great ability to hide the character's deepest motivations until it becomes an exciting climatic surprise when the audience least expects it, further drawing you into the theme of the story. Daniel is a true entertainer. His talented performances for me are reminiscent of Montgomery Clift and Marlon Brando.
