About Preston
Hello everyone, My name is Preston Porter and I have a passion for learning, and teaching Accounting, Finance, and Business. I am also a huge history buff and love to talk and teach anyone I can about Business and History!
I recently graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors in Accounting, and am currently pursing my CPA license. During my time at UCF I was on the deans list every single semester and was apart of Beta Alpha Psi Accounting honor organization. I was also a top 3 finalist for UCFs great capstone compeition in 2022.
I first started my career off as a Financial Operations Intern with Verizon, and am currently working as an Accountant for another great company! I have a true passion for Accounting and Finance, and would love to teach you!

I believe my specialty is having an absloute passion for what I do! I believe that the only way to truly understand a topic is being able to teach someone that topic. This may be a funny story, but in college I would learn a certain topic or lesson, and then teach it to myself and my family. I knew once I was able to teach a topic I fully understood it. I wan't to be able to bring you to the level where you can teach Business or history to others so you can fully understand the topic!
I have over a year of expierence in working in Finance and Accounting. I have a Bachelors degree in Accounting from the University of Central Florida.

My process with teaching is starting from the ground-up with a student and going from there. I initally start with establishing a baseline of the student on the topic at hand and then going from there. This allows us to make sure that the student has a fundamental understanding so we can learn more intensive topics from there.
