About Ella
I am a recently-graduated UCLA student (graduated June 2020) with a B.S. in Psychobiology and a minor in Global Health. I have experiencing tutoring middle school students in various subjects, such as reading, writing, math, and life sciences. As a recent graduate and student, I have an exceptional love for learning and teaching, and would truly love to help your student excel in their academic pursuits!
I began teaching through a volunteer tutoring organization when I was in middle school, and would love to continue with this passion!
I have a Bachelors of Science in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles. My experiene at UCLA has provided me with a very strong background in biology, chemistry, basic math, and psychology. Throughout college, I volunteered at a local elementary school to teach public health topics, and have worked with preschool, elementary, and middle school students throughout my entire life. My mom is a teacher, so I've consistently had exposure to the academic environemnt from a teacher's perspective, which has provided me with great insight and the proper tools to successfully tutor students in the past.

When beginning working with a new student, I like to have an introductory call or meet-up to initially get to know the student on a personal level. I believe it is extremely important to establish a strong, mentor relationship with students before beginning school work in order to create a positive and non-judegemental environment.
I have mostly worked with middle school students who have struggled with general school subjects. I'm very open to working with students of all agesand academic levels!
