The people of this amazing company took my now wife and I (both with two left feet) from 0% dancing experience to having the most wonderful first dance ever ( admittedly somewhat biased) in just 7 lessons. They even choreographed a whole routine to our song with the style that we wanted. My wife and I could not be more impressed. The staff is always very friendly, helpful and full of smiles.
I work a couple of buildings down from Fred Astaire and it would always bring a huge smile to my face to see the staff always just having fun being there and dancing. You can tell that they all love what they do. Even during their down time they all hone and master their craft. It's just a fun and uplifting environment to be around.
Someone on a previous post said something negative of it feeling like it's the 30's in there. I don't know about you but that's what gives the company it's charm. They are continuing an almost dying style of dance in which they must be commended. It's called the Fred Astaire dance studio for a reason. They specialize in rumba, swing etc. If your NOT looking for a professional, friendly and classic place to dance then I suggest a generic hip hop studio to you. If you ARE then I can advise no place better then here.
We took all of our lessons. (One every week or couple weeks) for a very reasonable rate comparable to other high end studios. Especially because they designed a dance for us. We are in no way wealthy and they worked with us on payments. I can't speak as an employee but I can speak to what I see and as a customer. Everyone is just awesome and seem very bright. The employees that are there obviously really love what they do. Those are the ones that you want teaching you anyway.

My husband and I had a great time learning the basics from Carlos, he was very personable and kind. We will be purchasing a full 7 classes because he was such a wonderful instructor and made us feel so comfortable even though we had no idea what we were doing. We can hardly wait for next week's class!

Olya and the welcoming staff at Fred Astaire Dance in Tucson helped my fiancé and I choreograph and learn our wedding dance in a month and a half. They helped us find a dancing style we felt comfortable with and worked around our busy schedules to get in our dance lessons after work. They also have a social dance on Thursday nights where we were able to perform our wedding dance to a crowd BEFORE the wedding which helped get the nerves out and build our confidence. We plan on returning for more lessons now that the wedding is over. Thanks again!
