Dave gave excellent instruction to my son while making the lesson fun and relevant. The lessons progressed at a rate that kept my son engaged and challenged. Dave provided background information about different music styles and musicians that added to my son’s music education. My son has been playing drums for over six years and Dave is by far his favorite teacher.

Dave is a great drum teacher! He began working with my son in 4th grade. My son didn't have any previous music experience, but he got him playing tunes right away, really building his confidence and getting him excited about playing drums. He is very patient and really takes into account the needs and preferences of his students. Under Dave's instruction, my son has developed into an excellent drummer, playing drum set in his high school jazz band. He tackles new pieces of music with confidence and skill. I would highly recommend Dave as an instructor.

Dave keeps the lessons fun and finds new ways to challenge his students. My nephew and I have recorded several cover songs with Dave to share with family and friends. Progress from year to year is apparent, and we continue to work towards more advanced material. I've had a blast! We look forward to more of the same.

Dave is an amazing teacher. He has patience with kids, a great sense of humor, and a relaxed approach. Not only did he teach my daughter to play the drums, but taught me to play guitar in less than a year and provided a real life band experience that has been super fun. I highly recommend Dave for both beginning students and experienced players. I feel pretty fortunate that he is the teacher I discovered when I was looking for a drum teacher for my six-year old.

As an an adult learner I appreciated Dave’s easy-going, almost conversational style of teaching. He takes the time to get to know your musical taste and tries to tailor lessons around your interests. Very observant with helpful, kind corrections and suggestions. It’s fun when he jams along with his guitar, putting real-scenario context to the lesson. His dog is super cute too and will likely be an enthusiastic audience.
