About Abigail
My tutoring approach is to learn with you about your own mental blocks, missing links, and gaps in knowledge. My goal is to work with you to give you the tools that you need to eventually solve your problems on your own.
My approach has been and will always be prior background knowledge and engagement strategies. It's so crucial to hook students in, no matter what their ages are, through tying in the new material to something that they already know very well and are interested in. Real-world connections and prior knowledge activation is the key to teaching new subject materials.
