About Jim
Hello. My name is Jim Carson and I've been teaching golf for over four decades to a large clientele that ranges in age from 6 to 92...beginner, to highly skilled collegiate athletes and professionals in pursuit of big time goals.
What makes my lesson tee more desirable than others is that I present the swing mechanics in a way that simplify the learning process. Golf is not that complex if taught in a "building block" structure, mastering one piece before advancing to another.
Most beginners try to assimilate too much developmental instruction too soon, while more advanced players tend to get lost in finding solutions to errant shots by way of endless reconstruction efforts or by trial and error, hit or miss guesswork.
The key to better golf begins with understanding the golf swing. And I have the acumen to teach it...and the patience to mold it. Because everyone comes to the lesson tee with a different set of swing skills and not everyone can be squeezed into a cookie cutter mold to develop theirs.
My expertise is in analyzing each individual and finding pathways of golf development that are easy and effective.
I love sharing the information I've accumulated through more than a half century of studying golf swings and competing at the highest level. There is more to playing golf than just swinging a golf club, so I like to tool my students with proper mechanics and plant the mental seeds along the way to enhance their performance in play.
But golf is more about having fun for most and I too like to keep the game enjoyable for those that want and need the recreational respite it presents. It's all about knowing your student, what they want and what they are able to do with the time they have.
In the end, for me, it's the satisfaction of passing knowledge and the look in ones eyes when when the light of understanding goes on and their scores begin to come down.

Perfect! Jim is awesome from the get go. I had my first lesson and he was able to pin point a few items with my swing and make the correction. He knows how to explain and teach and guide me into improvement. I've already seen improvement after one lesson. I'm continuing my lessons with him. I also like that he is a genuine person and wants to see me succeed.
Perfect! So helpful and informative! After my first lesson with Jim, I improved so much. He made me realized how technical golf is and how much more I need to learn. Even though I am a beginner, he was very patient and proactive in showed me every little detail to have a better swing. He is not the type of coach that stands from a distance and yells commands. He is a coach that truly wants to help you and someone that is also very passionate about golf. I really appreciate him and his enthusiasm for the game. I will definitely be scheduling more lessons with him.
Perfect! Jim has been a patient and focused instructor. He is not a clock watcher and has been generous with his time.
Perfect! He focused on the basics before moving on. Very patient and careful not to overwhelm!
Perfect! Working with Jim was an eye opener. I have had my son work with other golf professionals throughout the years and didn't get the instruction and progression I was looking for. Jim's knowledge, attention to detail and dedication to teaching shows during the lesson. My son and I are looking forward to a long relationship with Jim.
Perfect! Extremely intelligent, excellent coach and a great person.
Perfect! I bought a 6 lessons for my son and I, for Christmas. We took our first lesson yesterday and we really enjoyed it. Jim made some corrections in our swings and it really helped. He also has video which help us to see what we are doing wrong. We need to practice what he taught us and we both are excited to take our next lesson. The other thing why we went with Jim is the last lesson in on the golf course which is really cool lesson. Cant wait for the next lesson.
Perfect! Very professional and extremely observant. He made corrections to my swing right away!

Jim Carson did wonders for my golf game!! Jim is an outstanding teacher as well as person! He puts a great deal of himself into each one of his students. Jim worked with my wife as well and she really fell in love with game! I witnessed a number of young players develop their love for the game under Jim's watchful eyes!! I highly recommend that players of all skill levels spend time with Jim!
As a beginner golfer I found the perfect instructor. Jim was super friendly and made me feel completely comfortable with my ability. We met the very next day after my "hire" and our first lesson was a blast. I learned so much and would definitely encourage anyone to reach out to him. In fact, I watched the lesson prior to mine for a while as Jim worked with a fine young golfer who walked away from his lesson delighted with the results. Needless to say, I was a little intimidated going in but after five minutes I was completely relaxed. He was great and I'll be back next week.
He knows what he's doing. Friendly and patient. Highly recommend
Great energy, patient, and experienced teacher. Not just your average golf lesson. Jim Carson really tuned into my swing. Helped me correct bad habits and showed me the steps i need to take to improve my game. All around swell guy and great teacher:)
