About John
I will teach you the fundamentals of guitar; how to tune, the notes of the strings, basic music theory, scales, chords, proper hand technique, & much more. You'll learn how to take a scale pattern & transpose it on the fingerboard, changing the scale according to the root note, how to form chords from notes in a scale, music notation, guitar tablature, timing, basic progression, improvisation, and most importantly, to have fun!
Learn something that will grow with you, something that will enrich your life, something that will enhance other skills such as math, language, communication,cognition, & creativity! I will prepare you for interacting with other musicians (band), as well as advanced instruction- with the basic knowledge to fully appreciate the change in pace- by having the tools to put it all together.
