About Paula

Safety always comes first with my students.

I love watching my students progress. It's the most amazing thing to watch.

Just started helping others and found I received much joy in doing that.  Have helped others all my life.

I've been riding and learning since I was old enough to sit in a saddle.  I come from a rodeo family so this has been a part of me all my life.  There is so much to learn and you just never stop learning.  You can take it as far as you would like'from pleasure riding, trail riding, performance, etc.  I prefer to start with the basics so there is no holes in training my students.  I am strict about being serious because these are big animals and a rider must pay attention to their horse as well as surroundings to keep both of them safe.

For an inexperienced student, we begin with basics such how to take care of a horse, how to build respect with a horse, getting used to a horse.  They are big animals and safety always comes first before anything else.  We will learn how to feed a horse, groom them, saddle them, etc.  a student must always put their safety first, very important.  I teach horsemanship. I can only give lessons on weekends and when I'm not competing so it may not be every weekend.  I also don't give lessons in the winter because it's usually wet and cold and I do not have a covered or indoor arena.

I have helped all ages.  Hey, I reach out to others also when I train.  I am always always growing my knowledge because you never stop learning.

Charge by the hour.  Will not be on a horse for a few lessons depending on the student.  The student will be learning about safety for a few lessons along with care of the horse, saddling and so on.  Once I feel student is comfortable and has mastered safety, we will proceed with riding in a small area and learning some basics.  As the student progresses, each at their own pace, we will add more and more skill and ability to their learning process.
