About Gabe
My training / coaching philosophy emphasizes the mind-body connection so that the athletes I work with gain awareness to what works for them and why. By doing so, they will evolve their ability to solve problems on their own while gain a deeper understanding of the mechanics that translates to fluid & effective movements.
I spend time making sure my clients understand why we are doing the things that we are doing.
From a basketball perspective, I emphasize the importance of handling the basketball (regardless of position). I will fix / improve any jumpshot. And I will help my client gain understanding of their strengths & weaknesses so they develop awareness of who they are as a basketball "archetype" and how they can make that irreplacable to a team / organization.
My basketball story, I was cut as a freshman and sophomore in highschool and went on to play division 1 basketball at St Francis Brooklyn and Professional street ball. I coached 3 years at the NCAA Division 1 level - Indiana University for 2 years and 1 year at Grand Canyon University. Since leaving the team / organizational basketball world I have taken on clients competing at professional, collegiate, and high school level.
My favorite thing in the world is to assist others in achieving their dreams and goals. Basketball is my method to doing so. I am looking to work with anyone (11 years or older) that is passionate for the game and are looking to take their abilities to the next level.
I was already teaching & coaching while playing college / pro ball. It came naturally to me and I love every second of it.

Consultation first. It all starts with being on the same page. I spend our first session getting to know the individual I'm working with - as a person and as a player. Together, we set goals so that I can build a curriculum that supports them. I will also do a lot of explaining my training methods and why they are effective so that my client knows that there is a purpose behind everything we do. As time goes on the sessions become more fast paced and free-flowing.

Details
I prefer to contract a certain number of sessions for a month so that we can schedule times that work for both you and I. The more sessions you book the less expensive each session becomes. Communication and consistency is very important to me. I am always willing to negotiate and come up with a plan that works for everyone.
