About Jessica

Jessica has been a middle school and high school math teacher for 4 years (experience teaching Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry and Precalculus). Her degrees include Master of Arts, Teaching Secondary Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.

I’ve found my true passion in helping students learn the fundamentals of math and how they apply to upper level math. I try to correcting the “I hate math” attitude that some students have due to a prior experience in math. I strive to create confidence in math for my students and find the results to be incredibly rewarding!

I've always had a passion for helping children learn. While operating an in-home childcare business during a global pandemic I had the opportunity to assist multiple students with distance learning and found it so rewarding I began grad school to transition into a formal teaching career.

About the lesson

I like to assess where a students strength are and learn where they need the most assistance when starting a new student. Each child learns differently and at their individual pace so no two plans are alike. I strive to ensure my students have strong fundamental skills knowledge to grow into independent and successful math students.

Prek - 8th grade.

I have worked with students of varying skill levels and involving various educational plan needs.
