I am a recent highschool graduate. It's often easier for students to learn and understand concepts they normally would not understand in a classroom environment when someone closer to the students age is there to teach them. I present a more comfortable and familiar environment while effectively conveying even the most difficult concepts in an easy to understand way. I always take the time to make sure the student fully understands each lesson being learned. While I was in highschool, I was frequently personally requested by teachers to tutor other students in subjects of Math and occassionally German. I maintained a consistent GPA of 3.7 and always had straight A's in every Math subject I studied, including Geometry, PreAlgebra, Algebra I and II, PreCalculus, College Algebra, and Basic Math.
I love the look on student's faces when they realize that the dreadful subject of math isn't as hard as it seems.

I start by aquiring the specific lesson they are working on. I let them try and solve a problem on thier own first so I can see the scope of thier understanding of the subject/lesson. And then work with them through the simplest problems first until they master that, then move on to the more difficult problems until they fully master the lesson. I will either use problems from thier textbook or I will provide my own problems.
Generally middle school and highschool students.
Try to solve a problem you have difficulty with, and any part of the problem you are unsure about or simply do not know, write it down beforehand so that you and the teacher/tutor can go over that aspect of the problem more in depth and faster.

Details
Higher level mathematics and less familiar subjects (college algebra, pre-calculus, physics, geometry, etc..) are $19 per hour. Everything else is $16 an hour.
