I like to see what type of learner the student is. Every student learns differently. There are visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic learners. Each learning type responds best to a different method of teaching. I observe and work on a few problems with the student. After analyzing the way the student learns, I come up with small lessons that meet the students’ needs based on their learning style.
I have worked with a diverse range of students with IEPs or 504 plans, English language learners, struggling readers, underperforming students or those with gaps in academic knowledge, and/or gifted students.
