About Surya
I have a really unique tutoring style because I cater to each student and their learning styles. I am very passionate about mathematics, statistics, and accounting as I am doing a triple major at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. I am currently in my last year at SMU and I have already completed my Statistics Major, certified in Excel and Microsoft office, and recieved the Distuinguished Accounting Scholarship for being an outstanding accounting major. I have been a freelance tutor since my sophmore year of highschool and enjoy teaching other students.
I started teaching in highschool. When my peers didn't understand something in mathematics, I usually was able to help them understand. I realized that I had some talent on teaching students and helping other people understand math.
I am a Accounting, Statistics, and Mathematics major. Much of my professional work requires a really good base in mathematics so I think I am pretty good at tutoring these subjects.

I like to work with students by tackling problem areas, then going back to the basics. If there is not a good foundation in mathematics, then higher level math will not be achievable.
I have worked with highschool students, SAT prep, college students, and elementary number sense kids.

He always waits till I understand the first concept before he moves on to the next topic. I can tell that the pay doesn't matter to him, he has a true passion to teach
I got statistics help from Surya and he is an exceptional tutor! Every single time that I was stuck because of my professor, he was available to help me out. I ended up getting a 96 in the class and I wouldn't have gotten an "A" if he hadn't helped me very closely
