About Kasi
My Name is Kasi Edwards, and I’ve tutored math for over 20 years. Currently I teach AP Calculus, PreCalculus, and Geometry at Holland High School. Most of my class comes straight from Honors Algebra II, and are missing skills and/or have gaps in their math skills. Having said that, I currently have on average 16 students performing in the green on weekly timed tests from AP Classroom.
I was a Student Instruction Leader for Calculus I and II in College, and have lots of experience with all learning types. I have a BS in Aviation Computer Science, am endorsed in Secondary Mathematics, and am enrolled in an alternate route to teaching.
Tutoring options:
Online: $45 an hour
In person: Location Dependent - Jenison Library $50 an hour (group of 2, if you want to split the cost)
Other public places willing to discuss.
I was choosen in college to be a part of a new program they started, teaching Calculus I and II to my peers. I worked very closely with my professor, and held 2 sessions a week for students.
I fell in love with teaching. I started tutoring in students homes, eventually went on to teaching in the homeschools, and now am teaching in the public schools.
I was an SI Leader for Calculus I and II in college for 2 professors, and 2 years.
I tutored for Club Z in Home Tutoring, AP Tutors, and independantly for over 20 years.
I taught in 3 different homeschools, including an online one.
I currently teach math at Holland High School, including AP Calculus.

I am really good at listening to all aspects of learning. I have an incrediable amount of patience, and enjoy tutoring all levels of math.
I am really good with students who struggle in math. I've worked with students who have IEP's, in need of credit recovery.
I've also worked with students who are advanced and giffted.
