About Angela

I'm a rising senior studying mechanical engineering along with the aerospace certificate. As someone who excelled in math throughout high school, achieved a 33 on the ACT, and is currently a first-generation low-income student at Duke University on a full ride, I am confident in my ability to provide exceptional tutoring and support to students.

First and foremost, my academic background in math, coupled with my high ACT score, reflects my deep understanding and mastery of the subject matter. I have consistently demonstrated my ability to excel in mathematics, which would enable me to effectively convey complex concepts and problem-solving techniques to students. I am well-equipped to help them develop a solid foundation and overcome any challenges they may face in the subject.

In addition to my academic achievements, I am committed, flexible, and passionate about learning. My commitment to tutoring stems from my genuine desire to help others succeed academically. I am highly dedicated to my responsibilities and will go above and beyond to ensure the success of my students. Moreover, my flexibility allows me to adapt to different learning styles and individual needs, ensuring that I can effectively cater to each student's unique requirements.

My passion for learning is a driving force in my tutoring approach. I firmly believe that when students are inspired and motivated, their academic growth flourishes. By sharing my love for learning, I aim to create an engaging and positive environment that encourages students to explore their full potential. I am dedicated to finding innovative ways to present challenging topics and make them accessible and enjoyable for students.

Furthermore, my background as a first-generation low-income student provides me with a unique perspective that can be invaluable in a tutoring role. I understand the challenges and barriers that students from similar backgrounds might face, allowing me to provide empathetic and targeted support. I am committed to empowering students and showing them that success is attainable regardless of their socioeconomic status.

Lastly, my full-ride scholarship to Duke University is a testament to my exceptional academic achievements and potential. It showcases my commitment to excellence and my ability to work diligently towards my goals. I believe that my educational background can serve as an inspiration to students and parents alike, as it demonstrates the possibilities that await them with hard work and determination.

In summary, I am confident that my academic excellence, commitment, flexibility, passion for learning, and unique background make me an ideal candidate for the tutoring position. I have the necessary skills, knowledge, and experiences to provide students with exceptional support and guidance. I am genuinely invested in their success and committed to making a positive impact on their academic journey.
