About Taylor

I am a 13-year-old, 8th-grade girl in an advanced high school math class, currently taking Algebra 2. Although math comes easily to me, I know it can be hard for others, and I know what it can be like to struggle in school. I help students in an encouraging way and work at their pace to make sure they fully understand what we go over, before moving on.

Not only do I love school, but I love teaching it! I enjoy helping others understand math and perform to their fullest potential, and improve their grades.

I started tutoring since I am saving up for a car, and need a little extra money, and figured tutoring would be a great opportunity since I am very accelerated for my age.

I am currently in eighth-grade taking algebra 2

About the lesson

When working with new students, I always ask what their strong subjects are in math, and what they need help with. Then I will usually ask them what they want to work on during the tutoring session, and I will use example problems on that topic, and go through all the steps to solving the problem. When the student feels like they understand the steps, I will give them a different problem, and have them try solving it on their own.

I usually help students at my middle school.
