About Ian
I have a bachelors of science in mathematics, giving me advanced knowledge in math that I am eager to share.
I also have a bachelors of science in psychology, allowing me to communicate effectively with students and help them overcome roadblocks in learning.
I will work tirelessly with my client to help them develop the skills they need to excel in math class or on standardized testing.
I enjoy helping to raise students' self-esteem by showing them that they are capable of more than they think in the academic setting.

First, I help them identify their strengths and weaknesses. I will focus primarily on areas that need improvement, explaining concepts at a comfortable pace and ensuring that the student understands one concept before moving on to another. I often try to tie concepts together so that the student understands why the rules of math are the way they are, which is generally conducive to more effective learning and memory.
