About Jayne
My name is Jayne,
Growing up I always knew that I was going to be a Police Officer. At 24 years old I was hired as a Patrol Officer and quick rose in rank/position. By 27 I was Corporal Detective. After almost 10 years in Law Enforcement, I was no longer physically able to do the job however, I wanted to continue to help people. I decided that teaching was the next best way to help. I knew the struggles of getting left behind in school and knew that I did not want other students to feel behind or lost. I started in a self contained life skills class and loved it. I currently teach GED to students 16-24 in the four core subjects. I am generally an out of the box thinker, so I tend to teach differently as to meet the needs of my students. I currently attend Western Gov University where I am pursuing my secondary Earth and Space Science Teaching Degree. I am currently down to my last year of college!! I do hold an Emergency Substitute Teaching Certificate through Washington State. I look forward to anyone and everyone that I am able to help. Have a wonderful day.
