About Brad
I have a Ph.D. in Earth Science and B.S. degrees in both Geology and Mathematics.
I have taught at the undergraduate college level for 2 universities (Oregon State and Vanderbilt) as well as a Community College. I received the Excellence in Teaching award at OSU. I have taken two classes in teaching methods. I have been a private tutor since 2004.
I am an extremely positive and cheerful person who has a passion for helping students to learn. I truly believe that every student has the brainpower to succeed and feel confident in themselves academically. Sometimes it just takes a little bit of extra studying or to have a concept explained in a different way.
I can help you to succeed!!!
I absolutely love the moments when my students finally understand a concept that they were struggling with. Those moments that their face lights up and they say "Ohhhh... That makes sense! I get it!"
I just want to help every student to feel confiden5t academically! My passion as a scientist and mathematician is the pursuit of knowledge, and so my goal is to help every student to feel confident and well-equipped to pursue the knowledge that they are passionate about!

My goal is to immediately determine what the student is struggling with, and more importantly, the way in which the learn the best! The key to successful tutoring is to determine the student's learning style and help apply that to the concept at hand. I AM AN EXPERT at this! I can teach every math or science lesson in 3-4 different ways!
I have worked with students between 2nd grade all the way through seniors in college!
