About Matt
I am a senior at Illinois State University studying Secondary Mathematics Education, while also pursuing a Computer Science endorsement. I've tutored a variety of math subjects (algebra, pre-calculus, calculus,...) for over two years. If you're looking for a great tutor who is committed to helping you succeed, I'm your guy!
Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and helping those who struggle with mathematics succeed brings me great satisfaction.
While I have not started teaching just yet, I am participating in a year-long student teaching internship at Normal West High School.
I am currently a senior at Illinois State University studying Secondary Mathematics Education and also pursuing a Computer Science Endorsement. I have a 4.0 GPA and take my academics very seriously, and I encourage students to take their academics seriously as well! I have two years of experience tutoring a variety of subjects. At ISU, I work with the developmental math lab tutoring pre-algebra and algebra for college students. I've also privately tutored college algebra, pre-calculus, and introductory calculus. I am also participating in a year-long student teaching internship at Normal West High School for the 2020-2021 school year.

Before meeting, the student will tell me what subject they are struggling with and what specific topics they are learning about in class. Then, the student will typically send me questions ahead of time that they would like to go over during our session, and I walk them through how to solve the problems during our session.
I have worked with high school and college students.
Look for someone who has previous experience and has clearly excelled in their area of expertise.

Details
I charge $30 for a one hour session, and $15 for a 30 minute session. I am paid directly after sessions.
