About Alekya

As a student myself, I understand the hardships my students face a little better. I can accommodate to their needs and am better suited to help them.

I am a rising junior at the University of Connecticut studying Molecular/Cell Biology and Applied Mathematical Sciences. My math GPA is 3.72/4.00.

About the lesson

I start with a practice assessment to see which areas need work and how much work they need. I also find it important to get to know the student beyond their academic interests in order to determine which approaches will speak to them best.

Alekya is so good at explaining the toughest topics. If you can, you must hire her as a tutor. She makes every problem seem so simple.

I had a tough time taking engineering calculus 2 in college. I retook the class while taking tutoring sessions with Alekya. She was really great and my grade went from a C to an A!

Megan

Really helpful and knew what she was talking about. Was good at explaining things instead of giving out the answers and vague instructions. Overall learned a lot and got valuable help that later helped me in the future with other math classes.

Depending on the level of difficulty, I would charge $20 to $30/hour. However, these prices are negotiable, especially given our current situation.
